Manage your social networks properly!

12.02.2019

In our previous post, we discussed how content should be created. In this post, we will talk about the digital consumer concept and how content is managed on social media in the life space of digital consumers.

Firstly, understanding the digital consumer group for brands and predicting their behavior is becoming more important every day. A study conducted by a health insurance company revealed that smartphone users check their phones every 18 minutes on average and that by 2020, the number of mobile phone owners would surpass the number of electricity users. So, what is a digital consumer? What do they do? Where do they live? A digital consumer is defined as a group of consumers who use technology to shop at physical retail stores. They arrive after doing research about the product and can compare it with another brand’s product on their phone while at the store. This shows that, with the digital era, digital consumer behaviors are changing day by day. People no longer shop like before. Now, they research products from where they are using their mobile device and choose the one that best suits them. While this situation naturally provides many benefits for consumers, it requires brands and especially store owners to reassess their positions. Digital-based brands try to keep potential customers in the digital environment by using social media content marketing or digital advertising. Particularly when determining content strategies, they pay attention to defining them based on the target audience's characteristics and involving the customer in the stories they share. This leads to an increase in the consumer's trust in the brand. Now, let’s try to explain how content, which is as difficult to manage as it is to create, should be managed.

First, a calendar must be created to manage content properly. A content calendar will help you share consistently and determine which type of content will be shared on which day. By sharing content regularly and at defined intervals, you will create a platform where consumers can follow your brand with interest, get information, or be entertained without getting bored. Thus, consumers will view the brand as a companion that adds value to them, provides solutions, and solves their problems. The calendar created will help in content creation and publishing. The calendar should be tailored to the target and customers. You can organize your content on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, depending on the medium you are using.

Daily Twitter posts,

Posting news on Facebook pages,

Responding to blog comments,

Weekly updates like short videos or articles on your website,

Sharing a detailed blog post, interview, or customer story,

Monthly video shoots, contests, or coupon giveaways.

This way, you can ensure that your customers eagerly anticipate your next content without overwhelming them. In this situation, wherever your customers are, you should be there too and continue building warm relationships with them. Always deliver the right message to the right people at the right place, and show them how much of an expert you are in your field, all while having fun.
